Frequently Asked Questions

Can I request a custom order?

At this time, I am not taking any custom orders. In addition to being a mother to two beautiful children, I also work full time as a Lingít language instructor, and am enrolled in weaving classes. Keep an eye out on my Instagram and my shop page, I will post beadwork or other pieces as they become available.

Why canʼt fur pieces be shipped internationally?

Products containing seal or sea otter fur can only be shipped within the United States, due to the 1972 MMPA act of protected marine mammals.

When will you be posted new beadwork for sale?

As my time is very limited for beadwork, I will post items for sale as they become available.

Repairs and returns

All sales are final and no refunds will be available. If you have previously purchased a product from me that needs repair, contact me directly. Repairs may be done on a case by case basis.

Why are handmade products so expensive?

There is an immeasurable amount of technical and cultural knowledge that goes into each piece created. All of my seal fur and sea otter fur products were hunted by myself or my family, that time and effort is taken into consideration when pricing products. Additionally, the intricacies, complexity, and time required of beadwork is often severely underrated. Not only do I create my own designs, they often require a significant amount of time to rework to be successful. Handmade indigenous arts is fine art.
